What to Bring on a Private Yacht Trip: A Simple Packing List
What to bring on a private yacht trip from Kundu Marina: swimwear, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, a dry change of clothes and a light layer for later in the day. Bring euros too, because you pay on the day and nothing is paid online. The meal, welcome snacks and soft drinks are included, so there is no need to bring food.
The essentials for every yacht trip
A yacht day is mostly sun, sea and deck time, so pack light and pack for the water. Both of our yachts stop to swim more than once, starting off Lara Beach and again at the larger Düden waterfall area, so wear or bring swimwear and something to change into afterwards.
Keep it to one soft bag each if you can; it is easier to move around the deck. You can see what each yacht has on board, from the saloon to the sunpads, on our yachts page.
Wearing swimwear under light clothes saves changing on board; keep a dry outfit in your bag for the ride back.
- Swimwear, worn or packed
- Something to dry off with and a dry change of clothes
- Sunscreen and sunglasses
- A hat or cap
- Comfortable shoes or sandals for boarding
- Euros to pay for the charter on the day
Sun protection matters on the water
On deck you are out in the open for hours, and the sea reflects the light. Apply sunscreen before you board and again after each swim, and wear a hat between stops.
There is shade on board when you want a break: a saloon on both yachts, and on the 28-guest yacht a canopy over the aft deck dining table. Families with young swimmers will find more ideas in our guide to a yacht day with children.
Day cruise or sunset cruise: what changes
The day cruise runs for 6 hours and returns at 15:00, so sun protection is the priority. The sunset cruise runs from 15:30 to 20:30, and a light layer for the way back to Kundu Marina is a good idea once the sun has gone down.
If you have not decided on the session yet, our comparison of day and sunset cruises sets out the differences in timing and atmosphere.
Both sessions include the same stops, so the core packing list does not change. Swimming under the falls and any extra swim stop depend on the sea and weather, and the captain decides.
What you do not need to bring
You do not need to pack lunch or dinner. A meal is included on both yachts: chicken and meatballs (köfte), four cold meze, salad, pasta and fresh fruit, with soft drinks and welcome snacks when you board. Read more in what is included on board.
If you are wondering about anything else, such as bringing drinks or particular items for an occasion, ask us before your date rather than packing it just in case. We only list what is actually part of the programme.
Packing for a group
If you are a bigger group, agree who brings what before the day, so you do not end up with three bags of sunscreen and no phone charger. Each person should still have their own swimwear, hat and dry clothes.
On the 28-guest yacht, everyone meets at Kundu Marina, so make sure each person knows the meeting time. Our Kundu Marina guide explains the departure point.
Before you leave the hotel
On the 12-guest yacht the hotel transfer there and back is included, so just be ready at the time we confirm with you. Guests on the 28-guest yacht meet it at Kundu Marina: 09:00 for the day cruise or 15:30 for the sunset cruise. Ask us if you need help with a transfer.
Keep your phone charged for photos at the waterfalls, and put valuables in a small waterproof pouch if you have one. If anything changes, cancellation is free up to 48 hours before departure.
- Check your session time and meeting point
- Charge your phone
- Pack euros for payment on the day
- Tell us about any dietary needs in advance

Questions guests ask
Do we need to bring food on the yacht?
No. A meal is included on both yachts, along with welcome snacks and soft drinks.
What shoes should we wear for boarding?
Comfortable, flat shoes or sandals that are easy to slip off work well for getting on board and moving around the deck.
Can we pay by card on the day?
Payment is in euros on the day of the charter. If you have a question about how to pay, ask us before your date.
Should we bring cash for the whole group?
The price is for the whole yacht, so one payment in euros on the day covers your group. How you share it within the group is up to you.
